TFP has been a member of United Nations Global Compact (“UNGC”) since 2010. We are committed to incorporate all the ten (10) UNGC principles on human rights, labour rights, environmental sustainability and anti-corruption into our business operations and strategies, as well as our social responsibilities.

TFP is committed to embrace Corporate Social Responsiblity (“CSR”) as part of our corporate activities in Malaysia. In doing so, we stand by our CSR objectives:

•   To be a socially responsible organisation which promotes charitable cause, community service and the better quality of life
•   To protect and enhance our environment
•   To enhance employees’ well-being and better working conditions
•   To ensure our corporate strategy is ethical and operate honourably

In 2014, TFP participated in a few CSR projects in accordance with our CSR objectives:

Baby Sarah

  • Baby Sarah was a premature baby, born in January 2014 (16 weeks before full term). She was diagnosed with stage 2 Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) and was at risk of some other illnesses such as Cerebral Palsy, Deafness, Blindness and Mental Retardation. Sarah needed to be vaccinated with Palivizumab (Synagis), a total of 5 doses, each vial costs more than RM3,000. Sarah had taken the first 3 doses and needed help on funding the balance 2 doses.
  • TFP funded one (1) dose in July 2014 and also helped to raise fund to cover the final dose as well as some extra funds for Sarah’s follow up treatment.

Shelter Home
  • In October 2014, TFP participated in the shelter Home’s Desktop Calendar Project, by purchasing their calendars.
  • The shelter Home’s Desktop Calendar Project aimed to raise funds for the maintenance of three (3) homes. These homes were established to help the abused, abandoned, neglected or at-risk children. Shelter also provides support to 5 refugee schools comprising a total of 450 children. Shelter undertakes projects that feed the less privileged children amongst the poor in urban communities. More details on Shelter Home and their efforts can be obtained from their websites, www. shelterhome.org.

Rumah Sejahtera Jenjarom - “Your Vision, We Care”
  • TFP collaborated with Pantai Hospital Klang (“Pantai”), in November 2014, for our CSR initiatives to provide free eye test to all the senior citizens of the home. The senior citizens were assessed if they contracted cataract eye disease, and both TFP and Pantai sponsored free cataract surgery for those diagnosed, to help regain their full vision.
  • During our visit to the home, TFP also provided a new coat of paint for the building and contributed food supplies, groceries and vitamin supplements to them.

Recycling Campaign
  • TFP continues its initiative towards environment and energy conservation by running a “Green” campaign within its organisation. The “Green” campaign involves the following activities:
    a. Re-use of printed papers
    b. Installation of recycle bins within the organisation
    c. Disposal of recycled waste and e-waste to recycling companies
    d. Efforts to measure and reduce our electrical power usage in the organisation
  • The Group is an equal opportunity employer and all appointments and employment are based strictly on merits and experience. The Group does not practise any form of gender, ethnicity and age group biasness as all candidates shall be given fair and equal treatment. The Board believes that there is no detriment to the Company in not adopting a formal gender, ethnicity and age group diversity as the Company is committed to provide fair and equal opportunities and nurturing diversity within the Group.

TFP Business Code of Conduct
  • TFP’s business code of conduct serves as a guide for actions to be taken by our employees consistent with our Company values and UNGC principles. TFP Code of Conduct is published in the TFP corporate website, www.tfp.com.my
