Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) 2013

TFP core Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) principles are based on UN Global Compact Principles and have been a participant of United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) since 2009. We are committed to incorporate all the ten (10) UNGC principles on human rights, labour rights, environmental sustainability and anti-corruption into our business operations and strategies, as well as our social responsibilities.

Over the years, TFP has been active in CSR activities in Malaysia. We stand by our CSR objectives:

•   To be a socially responsible organisation which promotes charitable cause, community service and the better quality of life
•   To protect and enhance our environment
•   To enhance employees’ well-being and better working conditions
•   To ensure our corporate strategy is ethical and operate honourably

In 2013, TFP has sponsored a few CSR projects in accordance with our group CSR objectives:

• Pusat Jagaan Kanak Kanak Down Syndrome Dan Hyper Active (Down Syndrome And Hyper Active Children Care Centre) – PJKKDSDHA

• PJKKDSDHA was founded in March 2011. The center shelter and care for 23 children with various disabilities such as Down Syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability and hyperactive disorders as well as audio impairment. The center provides supports and daily needs such as medical, physiotherapy equipment and educational programs to the children.
• In August 2013, TFP donated RM33,500 for the construction cost for the dining/canteen area and kitchen extension of the existing home of Down Syndrome And Hyper Active Children Care Centre, Bukit Tinggi 2, Klang.
• The project was officiated by the Member of Parliament, YB Charles Santiago of Klang and a lunch was offered to the children during the ceremony. The official opening ceremony was held on 11 February 2014, to mark the completion of the renovation work. The ceremony was graced by the presence of, Member of Parliament Klang as the Guest of Honour.
• During the ceremony, TFP donated food, bath amenities and housewares to PJKKDSDHA.

• B. Braun

• TFP donated some umbrellas and torchlight tools as the door gift for B. Braun’s Patient Day held on 24 November 2013.

• Rumah Amal Limpahan Kasih

• In the month of September 2013, TFP celebrated Hari Raya 2013 with the children of Rumah Amal Limpahan Kasih, Puchong. A special Kenduri/Dinner session was held at the home. We distributed “Duit Raya” and “Baju Raya” to all the under privilege children in the orphanage.

• Recycling “Green” Campaign

• TFP continues its initiatives towards environment and energy conservation by running a “Green” campaign within its organisation. The “Green” campaign involves the following activities:
• Reusing of printed papers
• Installation of recycle bins within the organisation
• Disposal of recycle waste and e-waste to recycling companies
• Efforts to measure and reduce our electrical power usage in the organisation
• Installations of LED lights in TFP offices to reduce the power usage and carbon emission within the organisation.

• TFP Business Code of Conduct

• In 2013, TFP introduced their business Code of Conduct which will serves as a guide for actions to be taken by our employees consistent with our Company values and UNGC Principles. TFP Code of Conduct is now published in the TFP corporate website.
